A very fatal thunderstorm hit Ontario on Saturday, 21st May. Trees, electric poles and wires completely collapsed.  It’s still a very sad event because lives were lost, while some sustained injuries. I’m really praying for their speedy recovery.  Meanwhile, there has been power outage in some parts of Ottawa since Saturday. In fact, my house just got power back this morning. Over 150,000 people still don’t have power. Imagine the amount of refrigerated and frozen food that would go to waste.  Also, power fuels almost everything, including cookers and microwaves. Well, from what I’ve seen and heard, people ghost for a number of reasons.  But, HOLD UP, what exactly does “ghosting” mean?  Ghosting, in the context of this blogpost, is a situation where someone disappears, from a relationship or talking stage, with no explanation.  So, imagine you’ve been talking to someone and you start to think, ‘I think this person is a good match, we could work’. All of a sudden, the person disappears for a month without any form of explanation. Some even block you but lie that they just went offline. So, the way I would read a novel is different from the way I would read a school book to understand and pass my exam, and that’s different from reading for research too. Do you get me? So, here, I’m talking about academia. How can you read to produce result?  1. Know your ambience and utilize it!  This is the very first step you must understand to be able to read effectively.  Some people read with music. I don’t know how you guys do it, but kudos! I know I can never pay attention if I try it. I will just start singing and dancing😂.  But that’s me right? Some people have actually figured it out and they’ve seen that it helps stimulate their thought process and ease their flow.  The best place for me to read is the library. Do you ever get that feeling of “I’ve not been praying, I need to get closer to God, my spiritual life has been down” sometimes? It is the Holy Spirit tugging at your heart. He is bringing these thoughts into your mind because he wants you to take action.  But, of course, the devil does not want you close to God. That is why he brings distractions and limits you to just thinking about these things but not taking action.
