Physical or Spiritual?- My experience with a mentally ill woman

This is going to be very short. 

Has something ever happened to you, and you just completely froze, not knowing what to do? Let me tell you one of my experiences. 

One afternoon about 7 years ago, I followed my mum to the bank. 

I didn’t want to go inside the bank with her, so, I opted to wait in the car. 

I can remember that I was very bored and tired. 

Before I knew it, I had dozed off. It was a very light sleep because I was still conscious of my surrounding. 

Meanwhile, I was in the passenger’s seat with the driver’s and my own window down. 

All of a sudden, I felt a presence in my space. 

I opened my eyes, and I saw a woman clothed in rags, with hair turning to dreads because of all the years it’s been left uncombed, backing a doll, and pointing a 20 naira note to me. 

A mentally ill woman. 

I completely froze. 

She was pointing it through the driver’s window, with her body almost all the way in. 

I couldn’t even scream because my brain was still processing. 

I couldn’t talk too because I suddenly became mute. 

But, I know I had the energy to shake my head, implying no. 

Thankfully, she gave a small smile, and retreated. 

It was when she left that I started processing what happened. Lol. 

I didn’t even understand the meaning, I still don’t. 

Anyway, few days ago, I was thinking of how I greatly dislike begging or borrowing things and money. 

Immediately, that scene from years ago flashed right in my head. 

I just said to myself, “I will never beg for bread”, and I prayed.

What if I was hypnotized and I had collected the money? What would have happened? Nothing though, I’m a child of God Almighty. Or maybe it even meant nothing. 

It’s kind of a mystery. 

Hmm. This life.

     Hello there! My heart is bursting with so much excitement right now. I can finally get to express myself and share my views with you. Of course, i'm taking baby steps!
