The Universe City

Hiiiiii there! I hope you are well and alright. I know you've taken that first step and if you've not, I sincerely hope you are already making plans to start.
Interestingly, I would be telling you about my experience in the university today! It was a rollercoaster my dear. It was filled with laughs, tears, close-knitted friendships and lots of patience.
Don’t laugh! Well, as a fresh secondary school graduate in 2016, I was over the moon that I would be getting into the higher institution soon. I had already passed all my qualifying exams for my admission. You know, it was just so relieving to be done with the bulky subjects, ringing of bells and annoying seniors. It felt good. I didn't even know about it yet!πŸ˜‚
About a week before I got into uni, my mum called me and she said "you know you are about to start another phase of life. I would like to describe where you are going to as a 'universe city'. I just started laughing, i was like osheyyy, see pun. Then she explained that she called it that because I would see different things and different people with different backgrounds from all around the world making it a universe city. It made sense to me then but not fully of course because I had not experienced it yet. I made sure to let the words sink in anyway.
Dear, was she right? She was on all levels. I got admitted into Babcock University. I met ‘crazy’ people in there!! I got to know about many things I never knew existed. Thankfully, I was lucky in the roommate department. I had just two or three people that were quite a handful but nothing I couldn't handle. The rest were awesome. I'm a sharp guy sha, I was always praying for good roommates and my prayers always got answered. I had one who used to have these bizarre mood swings. She would just be giving attitude up and down. Sigh. You know I’m a gentle girl🀣. We had one or two quarrels anyway.
I almost forgot my first roommates, they were just the realest, we were close friends till we got to the final year except one that misbehaved. There's always that 'one'πŸ˜‚.
I can remember one time in 100 level that the course rep could not find my psychology mid-semester script and the lecturer was not in class. I saw that F flashing right before my naked eyes.πŸ˜‚ I was already scared! My eyes were reddddd. I was on the verge of tears on the way to my hall, thank God no one saw it, a whole fine girl! The lecturer later found the script anyway. I was so happy.
I attended Babcock University, a Seventh-Day Institution where they don't serve fish or meat in there. Sigh. They are lacto-ovo vegetarians. So, I ended up eating tofu and eggs as my animal protein. Funny how I didn't even do hard guy when I first started eating tofu, I ate it with my chest!
Some of my friends were like 'yuck, what's this?' πŸ˜‚. My dear, by 100 level, second semester, they had already gotten used to it.
Yes, erhmm *clears throat* there were really fine boys in there mehn. Some with sense, some without. Well, it's book me I went to face sha
There was this one time I woke up 5 minutes to 7 and I had a mid-semester exam by 7. See race! I didn't even brush or do anything.πŸ˜‚. I took this picture that day. It was my birthday.
I met really amazing people in there too. I discovered eye-opening things. My horizons expanded. I loved the serenity of the library. I had really sweet friends, it was really fun and event-filled for me. It was a success for me. We didn’t know we would be graduating in a pandemic though. Class 2020 is special!!
I can go on and on telling you about my university experience but I would stop here for today.
In case you are still in the university or you are about to get in, don't forget to always pray about the kind of room mate you want. It is extremely important. Some roommates can implicate you! In fact, pray about everything. Secondly, Don't overdo, stay on your lane so you won't have a bad image. Lastly, the most important one is you just have to be smart in dealing with people i.e. friends, roommates, porters, lecturers and course mates.
Face your book too🌚. Anything worth doing is worth doing well. Thank you. I hope this was worth reading. Drop a comment below if you loved it. Thanks for reading!❤
